In an effort to relieve motorist congestion, Lake County proceeded with a grade separation project at Rollins Rd. & Rte 83. Both Rollins road and Rte 83 we lowered to allow the Canadian National Train Traffic to pass via a bridge overhead. Stalworth Underground was employed to design and install earth retention to accommodate the project phasing.  The earth retention systems consisted of 40,000 SF of permanent and temporary steel sheet piling and 150 tie-backs.
